The GPSA Student Association (GPSASA)

The GPSASA is a student-led organization that works to promote sustainable agriculture, consumer outreach and education, and improvement of current agricultural practices. Membership is open to GPSA students (current and past), GPSA faculty, and their spouses/partners.  The association maintains affiliations with the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture, Practical Farmers of Iowa, the Land Institute, and the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.

GPSASA Officers

The association officers are responsible for scheduling and conducting meetings and the administration of the GPSASA and serve as liaison to other on-campus and off-campus organizations.

GPSASA Representatives to GPSA Committees

Student representatives are elected annually to serve on GPSA committees  These representatives act as advocates for student interests, participating in policy discussions and voting on key issues affecting the curriculum and administration of the program.

GPSS Senator

The Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) represents the interests of graduate students before the university administration and on university committees.  All graduate programs may elect at least one senator to represent the specific interests of that program.
