Research Interests:
The effects of agriculture and other land use on soil
formation, towards the goals of sustainable land use and environmental
conservation; advancing knowledge about the long-term condition of
soils through comparative study of ancient to contemporary contexts; and
knowledge of soils, agriculture, and resource management among indigenous
cultures, especially in arid lands.
