Research Interests:
Dr. Fales is involved in research, teaching, and extension activities related to the ISU
Bioeconomy Initiative. His research activities include all aspects of production and utilization and the
economic impact associated with the use of plant materials for energy, chemical feedstock, and
other novel applications.
