Research Interests:
The nature and status of ecology as a science and its relation to other natural
and social sciences; the nature and status of the various "sciences of complexity"
that inform current work in theoretical ecology; the potential for ecology to function
as a foundational discipline for environmental ethics and social theory; the potential
of ecology to function as a foundational discipline for philosophy generally.
